ISO 20000
 Business Continuity Management

ISO 22301 is the international standard for Business Continuity Management (BCM). Published by the International Organization for Standardization, ISO 22301 is designed to help organizations prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from unexpected and disruptive incidents.

There are various steps companies should take in order to achieve ISO 22301 certification:

  1. Understand standard requirements. ...

  2. Carry out a gap analysis. ...

  3. Develop a robust BCP and DRP. ...

  4. Perform BCP/DRP exercises. ...

  5. Conduct internal audits regularly. ...

  6. Organize training sessions for employees.

What is ISO 22301 code of practice?

It provides a framework for organizations to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain, and continually improve a documented management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of, and ensure recovery from disruptive incidents.

A BCMS aligned with the international standard, ISO 22301, will ensure your BCPs remain up to date and become part of your organization's culture. It will help you to effectively and continually mitigate BCM risks and adopt an integrated approach to managing business continuity.

Following a successful two stage audit, a certification decision is made and if positive, then certification to the required standard is issued by NQA.
